Art Deco desk light or table lamp with zodiac signs, comes with a brass ring with perforated zodiac signs where the light comes through wen the light is on. Designed & manufactured by Atelier Jean Perzel, Paris, France, 1940s. Signed on the base beside the switch 'J Perzel' (please see the image).
Jean Perzel (1892-1986), a French metalsmith who established his workshop in Paris in 1923.The general design dates to the 1930s or 1940s. A similar model, the N°516, won an international lighting competition award in 1936
