This is a vintage advertisement for Jean Patou's "Joy" perfume, featuring the tagline "Solo hay un perfume JOY" (There is only one JOY perfume) and "Y ahora por la primera vez Eau de Toilette JOY" (And now for the first time Eau de Toilette JOY) in Spanish.
Joy was originally created in 1929 by perfumer Henri Alméras for the French couturier Jean Patou.
It was released in 1930 during the Great Depression and was provocatively marketed as "the world's most expensive perfume" as a gift to his American customers.
The fragrance is a floral perfume primarily composed of jasmine and rose, using thousands of jasmine flowers and dozens of roses for just a small bottle, which contributed to its high cost.
