AUCTION FEES & BIDDING INCREMENTS
BUYER'S PREMIUM
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer agrees to pay Basel auction House a buyer premium and the applicable sales tax added to the final total. The buyer's premium for purchases made internally is twenty-one percent (21%) of the hammer price up to and including $ 350,000; fifteen percent (15%) of any amount greater than $ 350,000 up to a maximum of $ 2,000,000; and ten percent (10%) of any amount greater than $ 2,000,000. If the buyer makes an offer via a third-party platform (such as Liveauctioneers), the buyer agrees to pay five percent (5%) more at Basel Auction House Third-party platform fees are added to the premium of the buyer.
If applicable, national and local sales taxes will be added to the hammer price and the buyer's premium. Sales tax will not be imposed for those who have a copy of a resale certificate already registered at Basel Auction House
