BASEL Auction House offers you various ways to participate in our auctions, whether you are on site, behind a computer or even unavailable during the auction. Do you want to position yourself on a lot? Offer an auction? Live the experience and bid live? Here are the different services allowing you to participate in auctions with us:
Basel Auction House offers gallery bidding or on-line bidding to provide flexibility and convenience to our buyers. Gallery bidding includes live in-person bidding, absentee bidding and phone bidding. On-line bidding is available at internet bidding platforms: LiveAuctioneers.com,
Online bidding can be executed with Live Auctioneers. You must register twenty-four hours in advance of the auction through the Live Auctioneers website in order to ensure approval on time for the desired auction.
Basel Auction House invites you to preview auction items at the gallery the week preceding the auction where you can examine the items first hand and ask questions of our staff. Regardless of the method of bidding, the first step is to register to bid. Gallery bidders can register in person at the gallery. Bidders can also register using the BIDDER REGISTRATION FORM or simply by calling the gallery. You will be assigned a bidder number. In-person gallery bidders will receive a bidder card with their bidder number to use during the auction. Proof of identity and credit card information is required when first time bidders register.
Remember, all items sold at auction are sold “As Is-Where-Is”. It is the bidder’s responsibility to check the condition of items prior to bidding. Basel Auction House sales are governed by our Terms and Conditions . Please read and understand the Terms and Conditions carefully prior to placing any bids. When registering to bid or submitting a bidder registration form you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions Upon receipt of payment in cleared funds, you may arrange to pick up your purchase or have it shipped. Basel Auction House will assist you in making shipping arrangements. All costs related to the packing and shipment of the purchase is the responsibility of the buyer.
Absentee Bidding To submit absentee bids, print and fill out the ABSENTEE BID REGISTRATION FORM .Carefully indicating each lot number, descriptions of the items including the maximum price that you are willing to pay for each lot. Basel Auction House will execute your bids accordingly, trying to purchase the lots of your choice for the lowest price possible. (at the latest 48 hours before the opening of the sale.)
Phone Bidding Basel Auction House offers phone bidding services as well. Once you have arranged to bid by phone prior to the auction, one of our representatives will call you a short time before the designated lot is offered for sale and we will act as your agent when the item reaches the auction block. Please remember that an ABSENTEE PHONE BID FORME must be completed prior to the auction. (at the latest 48 hours before the opening of the sale.)
If you are a successful bidder, an invoice will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
